SCO, BRICS open up new horizons for Iran-China ties, Raisi says
TEHRAN- The Iranian president has expressed satisfaction with the development of collaboration with China under a 25-year comprehensive plan, noting that their interaction has improved since Iran joined the SCO and BRICS.
Ebrahim Raisi made the remarks on Sunday as he congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
He described the 25-year comprehensive partnership as a beacon of future engagement and expressed pleasure with the progress in the implementation of the plan.
Collaboration between Beijing and Tehran on regional and global levels, particularly in the wake of Iran’s membership in BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, has opened up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation and multilateralism, Raisi pointed out.
The Iranian president also anticipated that with deeper engagement, bilateral, regional, and global cooperation between the two countries would expand in all areas.
China celebrates October 1 in observance of the declaration of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949.
